After putting himself on the map as the second Tahitian surfer to ever qualify for the ASP World Tour, Michel Bourez continued to prove himself on the elite ranks during his Sophomore year with a solid 12th place finish overall.
Born and bred amidst Tahiti’s shallow reefs, Bourez’s comfort in thumping barrels combined with his powerful gouges and ability to take it to the air have established the Tahitian natural-footer as one of the finest surfing talents that the globe has to offer. With two full years of competition on the ASP World Tour stage under his belt, a Top 5 finish for Bourez in 2011 is not out of the question.
